Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator will assist in all areas of the Marketing Department including project management, social media and website updating, and agency-wide brand management. The Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the Marketing Manager.

Essential Position Responsibilities

Manage and update online project management tool, marketing plans, and marketing calendar to ensure projects stay on track based on deadlines and program needs
Support the Marketing Manager in establishing and evaluating a marketing strategy and plan by analyzing data, updating calendars, and organizing and planning promotions/content
Work closely with the management team on program development and implementations
Coordinate and communicate marketing plans, campaign results, and project recommendations
Social media content creation, development, scheduling, as well as monitor and response for multiple platforms
Ensure creative marketing materials undergo regular review and adhere to brand guidelines
Assist in developing marketing strategies for projects, including company website and social media
Maintain social media calendar for Facebook and Instagram
Assist with pulling lists and reports from membership database to create new marketing initiatives
Update web-site content and layout
Assist with copy writing and editing all marketing materials to engage members and generate interest
Assist with capturing of pictures and videos during AJCC events
Help establish and monitor metrics to measure marketing and communications effectiveness
Remain current in marketing trends and make recommendations for enhancement
Maintain highest quality of courtesy, friendliness and service excellence toward members, visitors and other staff
Understand and support the AJCCs mission and values
Work effectively with all staff members
Additional responsibilities may be assigned

Skills

Knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, attention to details, and meet deadlines within timelines
Strong organization, planning and calendaring skills
Highly motivated self-starter and able to be proactive in all aspects of the responsibilities
Excellent verbal, written communication, copy editing, and proofreading skills
Have a creative eye and be savvy in the social media space
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Adobe Suite or Canva is a plus)
Comfortable with learning database systems and online analytic tools
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Education, Experience and Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communication or related fields preferred
3 years of previous experience/exposure to current marketing techniques
Experience with creating content, best practices and posting for social media platforms
Experience with multi-media communication and website management
Understanding of branding principals and tactics through all media

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the Marketing Coordinator is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, a keyboard or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. This position will have prolonged periods of sitting while using a computer.

Work Environment

Working conditions are primarily a general office setting. The noise level is usually quiet.
